Glenn Sontag worked for the NHS between 1990 and 2002, in various clinical roles. He worked as a cardiac technician in the operating theatres of The Royal Brompton Hospital and later became clinical research technician to a consultant cardiologist. He gained his BSc in physiology in 1996.
In 1997, he transferred his clinical research skills to The Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where he worked on various projects within the HIV unit.
His outside interest of massage led him to obtain an ITEC qualification in body massage (therapeutic) in 2000.
In 2000, during a sabbatical, Glenn gained a diploma in ancient Thai massage in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand.
